My sisters cat is projectile vomiting blood?

so i'm staying with my sister for a couple weeks and i just came downstairs to use the bathroom and there's bloody vomit all over the carpet and the cat is throwing up like all over the place? i dont think thats normal, its never done it before? my question is how bad is this and should i wake my sister up, she was out drinking last night and said not to?
