If people are so sure of creationism, why are they offended that evolution is taught in schools?

After all, evolution is "ridiculous" and "has no evidence," so shouldn't you let your kids see that evolution is false for themselves by learning it in school? I mean you all are so sure that creationism is correct, shouldn't you just be able to laugh at evolution and go on?
