Is it true about the prank with the fruity pebbles put on someones lawn?

i recently heard about a prank where you take a lot of the cereal "Fruity Pebbles" and put them on someones lawn. The cereal supposedly sinks into the ground, then the gr grows in rainbow-like colors. Has any one heard of this? Or can anyone verify this? Thank you!
